Nicolas McComber, the photographer who founded
McComber Photo grew up in the Saguenay area
where he first discovered photography at 16.

Nicolas graduated from the Communications program
at UQAM before doing a short stint as a television
dialogue editor. He was then active for a few years
in the local music business as a singer-songwriter.

At the end of this period, he became
re-acquainted with photography,
then at the beginning of its digital era.
Awed by the creative freedom made possible
by this new technology, he passionately
pursued the mastering of
post-production software.

Having decided to dedicate himself to
photography, Nicolas studied first at
the New York Institute of photography,
and then graduated in commercial
photography at the
collège Marsan de photographie
commerciale in Montreal.

He specializes in stock imagery (which includes
corporate portraiture, reporting and lifestyle,
food and architecture photography)
as well as professional digital retouching.

He works mostly in and around Montreal,
but is available for contracts in other areas.
